Annual General Meeting

06 May 2021

The Company is holding its Annual General Meeting (AGM) today.

Following the Company's announcement on 29 April 2021, shareholders are reminded that the UK Government's Coronavirus restrictions remain in place. These rules restrict socialising indoors to people in the same household (or within a support bubble) and stipulate that travel should be minimised wherever possible. Whilst the rules do currently allow for meeting others for work (where it is necessary), this does not include shareholder meetings of public companies. As such, shareholders are not permitted to attend the AGM.

Trading Information

Following the release of the Trading Update on 29 April 2021, no new information on current trading will be given during the meeting.

Dividend

Subject to shareholder approval at today's AGM, the Company will pay a final dividend for 2020 of 9.1 pence per share payable on Friday, 18 June 2021 to ordinary shareholders named on the register of members as at 6.00pm on Friday, 21 May 2021.

In the Company's preliminary results announcement of 25 February 2021, it was announced that the Company will also pay a special dividend of 9.1p per ordinary share, equivalent to the cancelled 2019 final dividend. The special dividend of 9.1p per share will be paid on the same timetable as the final dividend.

If this resolution for the final dividend is passed, the total full-year dividend for the 52 weeks ended 26 December 2020 will be 18.2 pence per ordinary share.

Half Year Results

The Company will release its 2021 Half Yearly Results on 22 July 2021.
