Andy joined Howdens in July 1995 and has been a member of the Executive Committee since September 2008. He was one of the founding members of the Howdens depot management team, having joined from Magnet in 1995. Andy was promoted to Sales Director in January 2007 and was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Trade in January 2014. In November 2023, following a handover period with Stuart Livingstone (Trade Director), Andy became Chair of Howdens’ international businesses.

Andy’s main function as Chair of the international businesses is to provide executive oversight of and counsel to the maturing French, Belgian and Irish businesses. He also supports the Chief Executive on exploring further international opportunities and other ad hoc projects.
